Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working as an outpatient therapist in private practice. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work and am licensed by the Oregon Social Work Board. I started my private practice in 2015. Prior to that I was lead therapist at Monte Nido’s Eating Disorder Center of Eugene where I treated both adults and adolescents with eating disorders. I also briefly worked in the residential sister program Rainrock.
I’ve been working for the past 11 years in the field of mental health; I’ve been a counselor in residential settings for adolescent women, a community-based skill-builder helping kids and adults gain mastery in social settings or tackle challenges at home, provided therapy and ran groups at a day treatment program for adolescent boys, and have been a therapist to women and men of all ages struggling with eating disorders and trauma.
Having this wide array of experience has made me appreciate the importance of understanding each client’s unique needs and meeting them where they are at in their process of change and growth.
I am a native Oregonian and I enjoy getting outside, especially to the beach, with my partner, my son, and my pup. I’m a plant lover, a reader, a self-care specialist, and an artist. I have tried my hand at many types of arts and crafts – everything from painting to ceramics and jewelry.
